1. Scope of this notice
This privacy policy applies to Primes3Lab, an editorial comparison website covering UK-facing casino brands. It explains how we process personal data when you browse our pages, interact with consent tools, contact us by email or click through to third-party operators. The site is not a gambling operator and does not open casino accounts or process gaming transactions itself, yet we still collect certain limited data connected to website administration, reader analytics, security and correspondence.
If another website is reached through one of our links, that third party will apply its own privacy practices. Our notice only covers data handled through Primes3Lab and services we use on our behalf.
2. Information we collect
The information we collect depends on how you use the site. When you simply browse, this may include technical data such as IP address, browser type, operating system, approximate location inferred from technical signals, pages viewed, referring pages, session timing and device identifiers used for analytics or security. We also store the local preference that records whether the age gate and cookie banner have been acknowledged on your device.
If you contact us, we may collect your name, email address, the content of the message, any attachments you provide and the correspondence record that follows. We do not ask readers to submit payment details, gambling account credentials or sensitive category data.
3. How we use personal data
We use personal data to operate and secure the site, maintain our pages, understand aggregate traffic patterns, respond to reader queries, manage affiliate reporting, detect abuse, enforce our terms and improve the presentation of editorial content. We also use limited preference data so the age prompt and cookie banner do not reappear on every visit from the same browser unless storage is cleared.
Where analytics are used, the aim is to understand which sections are useful, which pages are abandoned quickly and whether design changes improve readability. We do not use personal data to make automated decisions about a reader's eligibility for gambling products because we are not the operator providing them.
4. Lawful bases under UK GDPR
We rely on different lawful bases depending on the activity. Our site security, basic administration and record-keeping needs are generally based on legitimate interests. When you send us an email, the related processing is usually necessary for taking steps at your request or for our legitimate interests in responding and managing the conversation. Where non-essential cookies or analytics require consent, we rely on that consent and respect the choice stored through the banner.
We may also process data where needed to comply with a legal obligation, such as retaining information relevant to a complaint, regulatory concern or lawful request from a competent authority.
5. Affiliate links and referral tracking
Primes3Lab contains affiliate links. When you click one, a tracking parameter or similar identifier may be passed to the destination so that a referral can be recognised if you register with that operator. This helps us understand whether a page is commercially effective, but it does not give us access to your casino account, deposit activity or gameplay history. Any gambling-specific information remains subject to the operator's own policies.
We treat affiliate reporting as a business function, not as a reason to collect more reader data than is necessary. We aim to keep the referral layer proportionate to the purpose it serves.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and local storage for a small number of functions. Essential storage is used to remember whether the age gate has been confirmed and whether a cookie choice has been made. Additional technologies may support aggregated analytics, security checks, load balancing or affiliate link reporting. You can read more detail in our separate Cookie Policy, which forms part of the broader privacy framework.
Where consent is required for a cookie category, the relevant processing should not begin until that consent is given. Refusing non-essential cookies does not stop you from reading the editorial content of the site.
7. Sharing with service providers
We may share personal data with trusted service providers that help us host the site, secure our infrastructure, analyse traffic, manage email communication, detect fraud or administer business reporting. Those providers only receive information needed for the service they perform and are expected to protect it using appropriate contractual and technical safeguards.
We do not sell personal data in the ordinary commercial sense. We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, comply with a legal process or investigate misuse of the site.
8. International transfers
Some of our suppliers may store or access data outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, we take steps to ensure that personal data remains protected under standards broadly equivalent to those required under UK data protection law. Depending on the destination and supplier structure, this may involve contractual safeguards, adequacy decisions or supplementary measures designed to reduce transfer risk.
International processing does not change your rights. It only changes where the technical handling of some information may occur.
9. Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected. Technical logs may be kept for short operational periods unless a security issue requires a longer review window. Email correspondence may be retained for longer where the message creates an ongoing obligation, a complaint trail or a legitimate need for future reference.
Consent preferences stored on your device remain until they expire, are overwritten or are manually cleared in your browser. When data is no longer needed, we aim to delete it, anonymise it or isolate it from routine use.
10. Security measures
We use administrative, organisational and technical measures intended to reduce the risk of unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction of personal data. No internet service can promise absolute security, but we try to keep collection limited and systems proportionate so that the potential impact of a problem is smaller in the first place.
If we become aware of a personal data incident that creates a legal reporting duty, we will assess the situation and take the steps required under applicable law, including notification where appropriate.
11. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to request access to personal data, ask for correction, request deletion, object to certain processing, restrict processing, request portability or withdraw consent for consent-based processing. These rights are not absolute, and we may need to retain some information to comply with law or protect legitimate interests, but we will review each request carefully and respond within the period required by law.
If you believe our handling of your data is unlawful or unfair, you may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
12. Children and age policy
Primes3Lab is intended for adults aged 18 and over. The site contains content about gambling and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we learn that information has been provided by a child in a manner inconsistent with this policy, we will take reasonable steps to remove it from active records where legally and technically possible.
The presence of an age gate is one part of this policy, but parents and guardians should also be aware that gambling-related content is unsuitable for minors.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this notice to reflect changes in law, service providers, site functionality or internal practices. When changes are material, we will revise the published version on this page and update the effective wording where appropriate. Continued use of the site after a revision means the current version should be read in full, especially if you rely on the site often or have contacted us previously.
14. Contact details
For privacy questions, rights requests or concerns about how personal data is handled, contact dataprotection@primes3lab.com. Please provide enough detail for us to understand the request and verify that we are corresponding with the right person. We may ask for reasonable confirmation before releasing or deleting information.
